(Part 21)  134;  To Follow the Fugitive Spaceman

The BattleStar Galactica plummets on in her pursuit of the Renegade Black Viper.
Gunn takes his fugitive Backer through its wildest manuveurs in an attempt to shake his pursuer.
Like a Canid closing in, the Galactica hangs on.
Even with the gyro-gravvs on full, those on the Bridge have to gauge their every movement to compensate for the Warship's Level-Flank, and the sudden movements it is making to compensate for Gunn.
Only Adama and Tigh remain standing uright by the rail, long experience enabling them to counter the Galactica's sudden permutations as if by instinct.
"Commander," Omega calls back, "Almost got him, but everytime I think I have a laser-lock on Gunn, he shifts."
Colonel Tigh says loudly over the tumult of the Galactica's systems on full tilt, "He knows our operations, Gunn knows how long of a cycle it takes to lock in our laser-batteries."
"And Gunn won't give us a track to follow either," Omega answers back.
Commander Adama stands with his gaze firmly out the forward star-screen.
Tigh and Adama stand as the deck pitches in relation to Gunn's wild-careening.
"The Backer-Scout has been improved since we received our test-version," Colonel Tigh observes.
"Yes, but it is still not the Viper," is Commander Adama's comment.
The Galactica shifts to another plane to follow the elusive spaceman.
"What were we taught?" Colonel Tigh remembers, "Get the Angle, Get the First Shot, and Get Out?"
"Something like that," Commander Adama replies while still staring firmly out the star-screen.
Colonel Tigh speaks up, "Projected course of target?"
But before the Bridge Crew can provide the figures, Commander Adama states flatly, "I know; the Home Colonies."
"Yes," Colonel Tigh agrees, then tells Athena, "Leiutenat, keep jamming him."
"We are, Sir," Athena replies as she keeps the electronic counter-measures focussed on Gunn's StarScout.
"Can we bring any batteries to bear yet?" Colonel Tigh wants to know.
"He knows the cycle too well," Omega replies with some frustration.
Commander Adama looks from the star-screen to the Bridge Crew, "Lock the Forward Ventral and Dorsal Turrets dead ahead," and then in a deep voice Adama commands, "Shake him up."
The two turrets lock forwards, and then open up.
