"Save," (Part 5) Sixty-four

While a number of the swallowtails float down to reknew their inspections of the Starbuck, Captain Apollo runs uses the extension from the med-scan to take reads on several of the closeby plants.
"Surprising at the number of medicinal compounds in this foilage," Apollo remarks as he works.
"Might try the threads too," Starbuck suggests as he he gets an unintentional sky-surfer wing brushing his face.
"Of course," Apollo agrees as he runs the exension over one of the thread-cables.
And then the Captain feels the faintest weight land upon his back, "Oh-ho," he says carefully, "What do we have here?"
"Move slowly," Starbuck advises the Captain, "It appears that some of my new friends are in the process of introducing you to themselves."
"Gladly," the Captain smiles as he slowly straightens himself up.
The Captain patiently tolerates the wind-riders crawling around, taking his measure in their brief shifts.
Starbuck looks up into the canopy to "I see that you are recieving positive reveiws amongst their brethern and sistern in the apiary."
Apollo looks up to see the attenae-brushing between the surveyors and the other swallowtails in the roosts proceeding in a relaxed, easy-going manner, "In a sense, we are all riders of the air." Apollo observes.
"Last of the free men, or in their case, buggers,"  Starbuck agrees with the Captain, "Part of the same club," the Leiutenat waits a micron, then adds "Don't suppose they have a version of Pyramid around here?"
"Actually, theirs is not a game without its chance," Apollo remarks, sees Starbuck a little confused, then adds, "Acceptng us and all."
Starbuck gets a certain grin on his face before replying, "Ah, but we seem to have a knack for universal communications."
Apollo doesn't even change expression, "We seem to have a knack for something, whether it be for communications or trouble, or whatever."
"I prefer the term mischief," Starbuck puts in, "It sounds so glib the way Colonel Tigh uses the term."
And then Apollo feels something drop onto his head and one shoulder from above.
It is moist and sticky, and is moving, "What the Frak?" the Startled Captain says quickly.
"Easy there Captain," Starbuck speaks evenly to his friend and keeping an eye on where Apollo's hand has reflexively dropped down by his laser.
Apollo catches his breath, and gathers his wits, while trusting the Leiutenat to survey the situation.
Starbuck adds up the elements and reaches his conclusion, "Why Captain," he says in a congratulatory tone, "You should be honored, you have garnered their trust," Apollo is a tad perplexed before Leiutenat Starbuck adds this last tidbit, "The swallowtails are introducing you to their young ones," pauses, "They're showing you the kippers."
