(Prt)A Friend About Now

The First Tech shifts his stance impatiently, "Or Gaurdians, or Trustees," he grits his teeth, "All we dcould get out of your Young Lady was about you fellows," the FirstTech explains, and then nods, "She looks like she could use a Friend or Two about now."
Captain Apollo checks and signs the forms.
Leiutenat boomer accepts the forms from Apolo, goes over them, and adds his signature.
Starbuck accepts the form at last, double-checks it, finally initializes it in one spot and then handing the form back to the FirstTech, "More of an Acquantance," Starbuck advises the Tech.
"This is more of a technicality," the FirstTech remarks, "She wouldn't go into the LifeChamber until someone signed."
"LifeChamber?" Boomer asks with muted alarm.
"Just a precaution for us on the MedStaff," the FirstTech explains.
   "And," Captain Apollo inquires.
"That Youn Lady shows every sign of too much sun, too many nights in the open, exhaustion, ankle sprain or strain, and who knows what she's had to eay," the FirstTech answers easily.
Leiutenat boomer thinks and asks slowly, "Any sign of Flash Syndrome?"
The FirstTech frowns, "The Doctors aren't sure, they think it may be some sort of chronic condition with this one," he tries to recall accurately, "At any rate, no sign of it in her marrow or soft tissues," the First Tech hesitates, "She seems to suffer from an extended delerium, we can't keep her bedded down, last time we found her up and rearranginfg the all the MedTech's Sampler Bottles," shrugs futiley, "That's why we have her in the LifeChamber."
The Warriors shift their stances in a weary sort of releif.
   The FirstTech is mystified.
"That's almost normal for that One," Boomer says with a slight grin, "Or what passes for Normal."
The Leiutenat Starbuck pats his jacket as if looking up a hidden store, "Quite a character, that one," he smiles, "Sort of grows on you, especially once you get to know her."
The FirstTech accepts the clip-file and watches the Warriors depart.
The FirstTech smiles at a certain irony; the Young Lady had expressed very simalar setiments when the Tech had been asking her where to take the Next in KinShip forms.
