Adama Squaring

The officer who is due for post-remedial instruction by Colonel Tigh remarks, "Our hand has been trumped."
There is a moment of silence before Commander Adama speaks, "The Proconsul has done exactly what I would do at a time of emergency like this," the Coommander waits a micron to let his remark set in, "I would be pushing to get every Battlestar back on line and dispatched to the scene of crisis as promptly as I could."
Colonel Tigh seconds the Commander's conclusion, "And it is up to us in the field to adapt to the always-changing battle-envrioment."
Leiutenant Athena reports from her staion, "Cross-Com traffic indicates that the incoming-Battlestars are embarked with over-sized squadrons."
"Hadran has always been a beleiver in fleet-togetherness," Cammander Adama observes.
"These Viper-Pilots are professionals, they have been through this excercise before," Colonel Tigh states, and then shifting his attention to Commander Adama, Colonel Tigh continues, "And it would be in keeping with the spirit of operations if we prepared to have our Visitors properly accomodated before the arrival of the Task Force."
"Proper Protocol, Yes," Adama glances over to Colonel Tigh, "I would say a complete clean-sweep is needed here. It would do no one any good to have any of these free-bargers about to make exasgerated claims of the easy-pickings to be had in the Colonies. And a clean-sweep will do nothing to help his recruitment-efforts."
"Set him back a couple yahrens, at least," Colonel Tigh agrees.
"And the BattleStar Galactica can also serve as a base of operation for the numerous incoming small craft," Commander Adama says for all on the Bridge.
Commander Adama turns to Leiutenant Athena, "Instruct the flight leaders that in order to complete a clean sweep our Vipers will employ the Packhound tactics. Our goal will be to disable and nuetralize a maximum number of the runners, but to leave time-consuming apprehension to the shuttles and commerce cutters."
"Suggest to our Pilots to make maximum use of disabling barages," Colonel Tigh confers with Omega.
   "Disabling barages," Omega confirms.
"On light civil craft like these,' Colonel Tigh explains, "The disabling barages will be sufficent, and will allow our own scanning systems to maintain tracking on their entire flotilla."
Commander Adama comments to Tigh, "If we get them all in, there will be that many more free-bargers to tell of the striking power of a BattleStar."
The Commander also says to Colonel Tigh, "But have those parts of Red Squadron that have been out-fitted for Maximum-Offense to be held as a reserve, In case he decides to double-back," the Commander looks out a star-screen, "In which case, we shall be waiting."
